In the run up to the upcoming polls and fearing the defeat, no party is leaving unturned to prove dominance and entice voters to ensure victory. The ruling and saffron BJP has come with the organisational set up recently in the state to speeden up the preparations and as part of the same, a meeting met under the chairmanship of the National president JP Nadda was held in which discussions pertaining to holding simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections along with concerned aspect held. Resembling the BJP, the main opposition Congress and the party stalwarts are also mulling over the possibility of the simultaneous conduct of the polls. Meanwhile, the common thing pertaining to matter among both factions is that leaders from both sides do exist with differing views. Overwhelmed with victory in three states, several leaders are in support of simultaneous parliamentary and Assembly elections in a bid to gain political mileages but contrary to this, another group of the leaders in the party is of the opinion that to come up with holding simultaneous polls is not going to be a wise step as resentment and anti-incumbency among the people during BJP’s regime of more than 9 years may cost huge lost to the party . Unperturbed with the defeat in the three politically significant states including the adjoining Rajasthan, the Congress bigwigs are making tall claims of huge terming defeat a sporadic. Although, the victory for the Congress in Haryana is not going to be a cakewalk in wake of the prevailing political circumstances. Political experts opine that the debacle in three states, especially in neighboring Rajasthan, depicts a lot and the Congress in Haryana should not take this lightly as it may cost the party loss to some extent. The party leaders are sanguine about their victory in the forthcoming polls.
In continuation to aforesaid, one of the senior BJP leaders said on anonymity that Haryana BJP is divided house on the issue of simultaneous conduct of polls stating. A sizable chunk of the party leaders believe that to come with an aforesaid decision may be a political contrition as well as nightmare. So in wake of the divided suggestions, the senior party leaders could not reach any conclusion. Although, keeping in view the victory in Rajasthan, most of the legislators gave gress signals to the simultaneous polls but due to the dissent of other party leaders, no consensus could be reached. In a bid to prove their mettle, Bhupender Singh Hooda and his supporters have already started the conduct of Jan Akrosh Rallies claiming record breaking gatherings in these rallies as well as huge victory in the upcoming polls. Even, several BJP leaders accept on anonymity that Hooda has the unilateral hold within the party and strong hold among the voters from all sections which is likely to make the battle an uphill task for the BJP. While reacting to the possibility of the simultaneous conduct of the polls, the Chief Minister Manohar Lal and Hooda both claim to be ready.Notably, the elections are proposed in October but the huge victory in the three states has forced the BJP leaders that the same may make the party to gain political mileage from the momented the momentum created in favor of the party following the result in three states.
