The battlefield for the Rajasthan Assembly elections has been set with the announcement of the Model Code of Conduct. It was believed that the BJP might contest the elections this time with a seat-sharing formula in alliance. However, the situation has now taken a different turn. The BJP will now contest elections on all 200 seats in the state without forming an alliance. It’s worth mentioning that the BJP has already announced candidates for 41 constituencies in its first list.

However, reliable sources associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party state that the party will contest the elections independently on all 200 seats this time as well. This means that the BJP will not form an alliance, i.e., a coalition, with any of the constituent parties of the NDA in Rajasthan.

In fact, Rajendra Guda, the legislator from Udaipurwati, is contesting the election on the Shiv Sena’s ticket. It was believed that similar to the alliance at the central level between Shiv Sena and BJP, there would be seat-sharing in Rajasthan as well. However, the party has nominated Shubhkaran Choudhary as its candidate from there. This clearly indicates that the party will contest the Rajasthan elections independently.

Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) is also in the election arena. It should be noted that one of the members of the NDA, the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), has also sounded the poll bugle in Rajasthan. In Haryana, there is an alliance between BJP and JJP. Manohar Lal Khattar is the Chief Minister from BJP, and Dushyant Chautala from JJP serves as the Deputy Chief Minister. The party’s state president, Prithvi Meel, has said that the party will contest more than 30 seats. It is noteworthy that the Jannayak Janata Party has nearly finalized the names of its candidates for the Fatehpur and Dataramgarh constituencies. However, at the same time, the BJP has also fielded its candidates in both of these constituencies. This suggests that there will be no alliance between the Jannayak Janata Party and the BJP as well.

Rajendra Guda joined Shiv Sena after the Red Dairy controversy
It should be mentioned that Rajasthan’s infamous Red Dairy controversy led to the expulsion of Minister Rajendra Guda from the party, after which he joined Shiv Sena around two months ago. During this period, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde attended a program in Udaipurwati, Rajasthan. On this occasion, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde got Rajendra Guda to join the party. Along with that, Rajendra Singh Guda was appointed as the coordinator of Shiv Sena’s Rajasthan state unit.

Guda claimed that he would change the politics of Rajasthan. Meanwhile, Shinde had said that they would work for development in Rajasthan. However, he did not make it clear whether Shiv Sena would contest the elections independently or would join the electoral fray in Rajasthan under the NDA umbrella.
