Dispute between the Trinamool government and BJP is growing over the incident in Bangladesh. The BJP is not satisfied with the role of the state government and the grassroots. BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar on Wednesday expressed dissatisfaction over the issue. “We are not at all satisfied with the role of the state government,” he said. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should have made a statement on the issue, Majumdar added.
Majumdar further stated that, “Such a big incident has taken place but we have not yet received any statement from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) or the Chief Minister in this regard.”
On Tuesday, the Trinamool raised the question as to why Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent on the atrocities committed in Bangladesh. Trinamool Congress spokesperson Jago Bangla questioned Modi’s “silence”. Trinamool alleges that BJP is doing ugly politics in this case.
In that context, Sukanta Majumder said, “You will know in the future what the Prime Minister did not say to the Bangladesh government. The Chief Minister is not saying anything about such a big incident in the place where Bengalis live, I think it is a matter of great concern.”
State Minister for Home Affairs Nishith Pramanik has strongly condemned the ongoing violence in Bangladesh. He thinks that the incident in Bangladesh is very worrying. He said the Indian government could hold talks with the Bangladesh government if necessary.
Pramanik said the Indian government was thinking about the matter. The Bangladesh government is still investigating the matter. The Indian government is also taking necessary steps to control the situation. If necessary, India can hold talks with Bangladesh in the coming days. A delegation may also be sent to Bangladesh from this country. It may be mentioned that the Deputy High Commissioner of India also visited the troubled areas of Bangladesh with the representatives of the Government of Bangladesh yesterday.
“The so called ‘secular’ government of West Bengal, which runs to Tripura and Assam at the spur of the moment when something happens there, is totally silent on the issue of Bangladesh violence. Are there not Hindus in Bangladesh? They are being attacked by fanatics, maths and temples have been vandalised, women are being attacked, but the West Bengal Chief Minister is maintaining silence,” said Bharatiya Janata Party national vice president Dilip Ghosh while Questioning Mamata Banerjee’s silence over the Bangladesh violence.
The violence that started in Comilla has now spread to the whole of Bangladesh. Added to this is the propaganda on social media. Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said the real culprit had been identified.
