Telangana BJP president and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy acknowledged that while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had vigorously opposed the BRS party and its policies, it was the Congress Party that secured a narrow majority and attained power. Reddy expressed that the Congress, unlike the BJP’s decisive victories in other states such as Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, achieved a slender majority, and there is still ambiguity regarding their Chief Minister candidate.

Speaking to the media at the party office, Reddy conceded that the BJP fell short of its expectations in the Assembly polls. He accused the Congress and BRS of generously distributing money and propagating false narratives against the saffron party. Despite the setback, Reddy pledged to prepare the party vigorously for the upcoming Parliament elections, anticipating a resounding victory.

The BJP chief emphasised the importance of presenting a comprehensive report on their performance in the Assembly elections to the central leadership. He lauded the party cadre for their hard-fought efforts and urged them to channel the same enthusiasm for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, aspiring to become a constructive opposition party.
