In the memory of former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Virendra Singh who is MP from Ballia has sanctioned Rs 25 lakh for the construction of an auditorium from his MP fund.

Meanwhile, on the premises of Ballia district court, the proposed auditorium will be constructed and it will be named “Dhartiputra Mulayam Singh Yadav Samvad Bhawan”.

Earlier on 10 October Mulayam Singh Yadav died at the age of 82 and was elected 10 times as MLA and 7 times as Lok Sabha MP. In 1967 Yadav’s career began at the age of 28 and founded the Samajwadi Party on 4 October 1992.

Moreover, the last rites of Mulayam Singh were attended by several leaders at his ancestral home in Etawah.

Soon after learning about Singh’s death Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and tweeted, “Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji was a remarkable personality. He was widely admired as a humble and grounded leader who was sensitive to people’s problems. He served people diligently and devoted his life towards popularising the ideals of Loknayak JP and Dr. Lohia.”

However, Mulayam Singh Yadav was born on 22 November 1939 and served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh thrice.
