BJP MLA Arvind Giri passes away from a heart attack

Arvind Giri, a BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh, passed away on Tuesday from a heart attack.

From the Gola Gokrannath assembly constituency in the Lakhimpur Kheri district, Giri served as a legislator for five terms. Giri passed away on the way at Sitapur while being transported to Lucknow for treatment, according to sources.

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his sorrow at the passing of the BJP MLA.

“The demise of BJP MLA from Gola assembly constituency of Lakhimpur Kheri district Arvind Giri ji is unfortunate. My condolences are with the bereaved families. May Lord Shri Ram grant the departed soul a place at his feet and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this unfathomable loss. Om Shanti.”
