A BJP leader who left the Congress during the 2020 uprising headed by Jyotiraditya Scindia once again returned to the grand old party with a 400-car cavalcade from Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh to Bhopal, a journey of nearly 300 kilometres.
Scindia changed the ship and joined the BJP during the Madhya Pradesh Congress uprising in 2020 that overthrew the Kamal Nath government and restored the BJP to power, Baijnath Singh, who enjoys political weight in Shivpuri, had been a key player. The rebellion’s leader, Scindia, is currently the Union Civil Aviation Minister.
According to the information obtained, Singh worked hard to secure a BJP ticket prior to the Assembly elections. Sources claim that he chose to re-join the Congress because he has no hope of getting one.
Senior Congress leaders Digvijaya Singh and Kamal Nath welcomed him into the party. Along with Baijnath Singh, 15 district-level leaders of the BJP have decided to join the Congress.
Baijnath Singh led a 400-car cavalcade from Shivpuri to the Congress office in Bhopal to commemorate his change of party. The numerous vehicles coming down the road with sirens have gone viral on social media. Many people were seen making videos. As they wave to the passing cars, many can be seen taking pictures.
Many social media users compared the rows of SUVs in the cavalcade to sequences from the blockbuster Bollywood film Singham when the video went viral.
Several users suggested using sirens. Only vehicles delivering emergency services are allowed to use sirens on the road, according to the law.
