BJP flays Akbaruddin’s remark on Narasimha Rao, NTR memorials

Kavitha, CM KCR’s daughter, says BJP never speaks of development issues, only sticks to religion card.

The BJP state unit of Telangana has dared Akbaruddin Owaisito even touch the memorialsof former Prime Minister and an iconic Telangana statesman P.V. Narasimha Rao and N.T. Rama Rao, the personification of Telugu pride, maintaining that the BJP will teach him a lesson which he will never forget.Akbaruddin Owaisihas threatened to destroy the memorialsof PV Narasimha Rao and N.T. Rama Rao, and so far KTR who’s named after N.T. Rama Rao, has not condemned Akbaruddin’s rabid statements. CM KCR, who tried to appropriate P.V. Narasimha Rao’s legacy for political expediency, has not uttered a word in reaction to the “unwarrantedattack” by AkbaruddinOwaisi.Telangana BJP chief spokesman Krishna Sagar Rao said: “Unfortunately, the Congress has also neither condemned the brazen and unwarranted attack on its departed senior party leader P.V. Narasimha Rao, nor on N.T. Rama Rao by MIM leader AkbaruddinOwaisi.Such is the minority appeasement of both Congress and TRS. BJP is the only party which protects the legacy of these two tall regional leaders. We will ensure that these leaders political and ideological footprints are preserved and revered in Telangana state.”Krishna Sagar Rao further said that voters in GHMC elections should reject the TRS and MIM, and teach them a lesson in respecting great regional leaders, who have contributed immensely to the state and the nation and have departed. On the other hand, MLC Kavitha addressed the media during campaigning for TRS at Gandhinagar of Hyderabad where she criticised BJP Telangana president Bandi Sanjay of playing a new political stunt revolving around the former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao’s ghat. She further questioned the BJP government for remaining silent and not celebrating the legacy of P.V. Narasimha Rao during the centenary celebrations carried out by the TRS government.Kavitha asked the BJP what stops the Central government from awarding the Bharat Ratna to “our late former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao”. Central governments have never cared to give the Bharat Ratna to either P.V. Narasimha Rao or former chief minister N.T. Rama Rao, though it has been a long-standing demand.Daughter of CM KCR, former MP Kavitha, said that the BJP never speaks on issues that contribute to the overall development of society, like falling GDP and others; instead it sticks to using the religion card. Kalvakuntla Kavitha urged the people of Greater Hyderabad not to fall prey to such political stunts at the hands of national parties. She later appealed to the people of GHMC to vote for development, vote for TRS.
