Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, claimed on Monday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is attempting to demolish the Aam Aadmi Party after a former party chief in Gujarat was arrested by Surat Police for making controversial remarks against state home minister Harsh Sanghvi and BJP chief in the state CR Patil.
CM Kejriwal claimed that the BJP will imprison everyone in his party one by one. Italia was later released on bail.
Kejriwal took to his Twitter and wrote in Hindi, “The BJP is so shocked by the spectacular performance of the Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat that it has now arrested our Gujarat leader Gopal Italia. Now, BJP has only one aim, how to finish Aam Aadmi Party. These people will put everyone in jail one by one.”
The Central Bureau of Investigation summoned the Delhi Chief Minister on Sunday in connection with an alleged excise policy scam in which Delhi’s former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was arrested in February. He was interrogated for approximately nine hours, and the investigating agency stated that his statements would be “verified and collated with the available evidence.”
In response to CM Kejriwal’s claims, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya mocked him, saying, “After the CBI inquiry, there is such a state of insanity that the man sees jail everywhere.”
