After this, Ajay would go on to star in another supernatural horror drama ‘Kaal’.

Golmaal (Comedy)

Ajay Devgn played a no-nonsense guy in a tee in Golmaal, one of his best-known comedy franchises of all time. You can’t imagine these comic adventures without him. The first film in the series ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’, directed by Rohit Shetty, is about four runaway crooks who take shelter in a bungalow owned by a visually challenged aged couple. Another comedy ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?’ also brings out this side.

Ajay has also essayed the role of a cop in films like ‘Naajayaz’, ‘Gangaajal’ and ‘Insan’.

Drishyam (Family drama)

‘Drishyam’ sees Ajay as a simple family man determined to save his family from grave danger. It is the Hindi remake of a Malayalam film of the same name. The audience could connect with the family elements and Devgn’s earnest performance. Devgn played a family man once again in Shaitaan, which hit screens in March.

Tanhaji ( Period Drama)

In ‘Tanhaji’. we see Ajay as the titular character Tanhaji, a military chieftain in the army of Maratha King Shivaji. He locks horns with the Rajput chieftain Udaybhan Rathod (Saif Ali Khan).
