In an unprecedented move, the BCCI is using Google Forms for the application process, which has garnered significant attention online. Interested candidates can apply through the Google Form available at this link. The deadline for applications is set for May 27.

The BCCI’s announcement on X read: “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) invites applications for the position of Head Coach (Senior Men).” The new coach’s tenure will span 3.5 years, from July 1, 2024, to December 31, 2027.
Eligibility Criteria for Head Coach Position
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the head coach role:
- Must have played a minimum of 30 Test matches or 50 ODIs; or
- Served as Head Coach of a full-member Test-playing nation for a minimum of 2 years; or
- Served as Head Coach of an Associate member, IPL team, equivalent international league, first-class teams, or national A teams for a minimum of 3 years; or
- Possess a BCCI Level 3 Certification or equivalent; and
- Be below 60 years of age.
