Cricket Australia (CA) announced their Women’s Under-19 squad for the upcoming Tri-series involving New Zealand and Sri Lanka, scheduled to begin on September 19 in Brisbane. The Youth Selection Panel has chosen a 15-player squad for each format (T20 and 50-over), with the matches taking place across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The squad will compete in four T20s and two One-Day matches over the course of the 14-day series.
Former Australian player Kristen Beams has been appointed as the head coach for the squad. Notably, the squad includes three players of Indian origin—Ribya Syan, Samara Dulvin, and Hasrat Gill. “Their inclusion reflects the growing diversity within Australian cricket and the significant contributions of players with Indian heritage,” CA mentioned in their statement.
