A ground-level survey of the Jaunpur  Parliamentary constituency was conducted by India News to analyse the performance of Shyam Singh Yadav, the Member of Parliament from Jaunpur, and gather voters’ feedback about him.
Shyam Singh Yadav, an Indian politician, secured a seat in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of India’s Parliament, representing Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, in the 2019 general elections as a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
Jaunpur Lok Sabha seat, nestled in the heart of Uttar Pradesh›s eastern region, spans across significant boundaries, primarily linking the Pratapgarh and Prayagraj districts. Renowned for its historic Jaunpur Fort, this constituency has attracted history enthusiasts over the years.
The ground-level evaluation mirrors the sentiments of the people, expressing dissatisfaction with MP Yadav’s performance. The constituents, expecting more active local engagement from their MP, feel their expectations have not been met. Moreover, a larger portion of the electorate appears inclined towards the NDA and expresses contentment with the Modi government’s initiatives, including the accessibility of Central schemes like free rations in the Jaunpur constituency.
