Satyadev Pachauri, the current Member of Parliament from the Kanpur parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh, is a prominent Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Kanpur Lok Sabha seat, known for its significance and closely contested elections, is currently represented by Pachauri.

Pachauri initiated his political journey in 1967 with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and achieved his first electoral success in 1991 when he was elected from the Arya Nagar assembly constituency to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Notably, he also served as a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, showcasing his diverse political roles.

In terms of parliamentary attendance, the number of questions posed, utilisation of the MP fund, and special contributions, Kanpur’s MP Satyadev Pachauri ranks at 1, scoring an impressive 0.83, which translates to 83 percent. This indicates an outstanding performance in parliamentary duties.

A majority of individuals are satisfied with the work of their Member of Parliament in the area. However, there is a suggestion that the MP could have been more active in the region, as the public had high expectations from their representative. Nevertheless, most respondents acknowledge that the MP’s performance in the constituency is commendable.

In terms of voting preferences, a significant number of respondents have expressed a preference for the NDA, showing notable appreciation for the initiatives undertaken by the Modi government in the area. The voters in Kanpur Lok Sabha constituency appear content with the development efforts and overall performance of the central government, and they have given their Member of Parliament, Satyadev Pachauri, a commendable rating of 7.83 out of 10, based on the ground reality.

In the survey conducted by India News, the people of the Kanpur Lok Sabha constituency were asked questions specifically related to the performance of their Member of Parliament. The focus was on assessing the on-the-ground actions and visibility of the MP in the constituency. Taking into account the ground assessment, which constitutes 10% of the overall evaluation, the public is assigning a rating of 1 out of 10 to their MP, Satyadev Pachauri. This suggests that, based on the MP’s activities observed on the ground, the constituents are giving him a positive rating of 60%, indicating a favourable perception of his performance.

The MP’s performance has been evaluated both on the ground and through social media channels. The social media assessment, accounting for 10% of the overall score, assigns a favourable rating of 0.67 out of 1 to the MP. This indicates a positive perception by approximately 67% of the Kanpur Lok Sabha constituency’s population on social media.
