More than 100 Bangladeshis Arrested with Fake Documents
Officials caught over 100 Bangladeshi nationals, who had illegally entered India, during the raid and had stayed in Surat for years with the help of fake documents. Authorities are confident that these men survived undetected by submitting false identification papers.
Immigrants to Be Sent Back After Inquiry
Rajdeep Singh Nakum, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Operations Group), affirmed the report. He told, “All of them will be sent to Bangladesh after inquiry.”
Investigations are already on to confirm their identities and investigate the networks that could have assisted them in creating documents and settling in the city.
Crackdown on Illegal Immigration Continues
Police officials said that such operations will continue to flush out illegal immigrants residing in Gujarat cities. They reiterated their determination to provide lawful residency and enhance security measures.
