The Kremlin claimed US President Donald Trump might be facing “emotional overload.” This statement followed Trump’s harsh criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump Reacts to Russia’s Massive Airstrike
Over the weekend, Russia launched its largest airstrike on Ukraine since the war began. As a result, Trump reacted strongly. He said Putin had “gone absolutely CRAZY.” Furthermore, he mentioned that he was considering new sanctions on Moscow. At the same time, he also scolded Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Kremlin Responds with Gratitude and Concern
When reporters asked the Kremlin about Trump’s comments, spokesman Dmitry Peskov offered a calm response. He first thanked Trump for his past help in diplomatic efforts.
“We are really grateful to the Americans and to President Trump personally for their assistance in organising and launching this negotiation process,” Peskov said.
Moreover, he suggested that emotional reactions are normal in such tense moments. He added, “Of course, at the same time, this is a very crucial moment, which is associated, of course, with the emotional overload of everyone absolutely and with emotional reactions.”
