Jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday moved the Supreme Court against the Delhi High Court stay on his bail order in the liquor policy case. As per Hindustan Times, Kejriwal’s lawyers have appealed for a hearing on Monday. Earlier, Rouse Avenue Court had granted bail to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo but his relief was short-lived as the Delhi HC halted the order pending further hearings.

Delhi HC’s decision came as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) swiftly moved the High Court on 21 June to challenge the lower court’s decision. Kejriwal has been in detention since March 21, when he was arrested for defying ED summons in relation to the now-scrapped Delhi liquor policy case.
