Under the leadership of Principal Promila Malik at Aruna Asif Ali PG College in Kalka organised a successful poster-making competition . it was conducted on the college campus to raise awareness among students about the adverse effects of drug abuse.

Addressing the students during the event, Principal Promila Malik emphasized that the consumption of alcohol and other drugs can significantly impact both mental and physical health. She highlighted that alcohol abuse is not only toxic to the body but also has detrimental effects on brain function, affecting even physically healthy individuals in the long run. Additionally, alcohol addiction can lead to criminal offenses such as child abuse, domestic violence, theft, and assault.

The college students participated enthusiastically in the competition, showcasing their creativity and bringing attention to the serious issue of alcohol addiction through inspirational posters. The artwork effectively illustrated the harms caused by alcohol consumption and suggested ways for today’s youth to steer clear of alcohol addiction.
Principal Promila Malik commended the students for their efforts, encouraging them to stay away from harmful substances like alcohol. Professors Dr. Bindu and Dr. Geetanjali served as the jury for the competition.

The results of the poster-making competition are as follows: Nikita Bhatia, a third-year BA student, secured the first position, Komal, a first-year BA student, and Anjali, a third-year student, secured the second position, while Vandana, a first-year student, and Vanshika, a third-year student, secured the third position.
