About the Plays:
“Zamaana Kya Kahega?” (Hindi) is a romantic comedy set in 2007, reviving the old-school Bollywood charm. The story revolves around Yash & Payal, whose love story is influenced by the newly-launched internet cafes. The play captures the essence of classic Bollywood with nods to Madhubala’s ‘Anarkali’ and Kishore Kumar’s melodies. Starring Rakesh Bedi and Delnaaz Irani, this fan-favorite play boasts over 50 successful performances and now debuts with a new version at Kamani Auditorium. “Baap Ka Baap” (Hindi) narrates the emotional bond between Jawan, a devoted father, and his son Bacha. The plot delves into Jawan’s desire for love in his youth, leading to comical yet touching situations. Asrani, Padmini Kolhapure, Naveen Bawa, and Chitrashi Rawat bring this heartfelt story to life, exploring themes of love, duty, and social taboos.
Get ready for an entertaining and thought-provoking experience that challenges conventional theater norms, offering a delightful blend of laughter, emotions, and storytelling prowess.
