Appointing four times MLA Udaybhan new state party president by the Congress high command proved futile to put the widened rift among the party stalwarts in Haryana. Now, Kuldeep Bishnoi who had been meeting the party command and considered among the key aspirants for the post of the state party was denied for the same which annoyed him. In a reaction to this, he continuously seemed in attacking mode so far. In this series, a new political feud arose in the Congress itself as the senior party leader and the National spokesperson of Congress, Randeep Surjewala showed his dissatisfaction with the decision saying that Kuldeep is a senior party leader and wise enough. Besides, he personally finds him the suitable and efficient person for the aforesaid post.

Although, the decision of appointing the new state president was taken by the Congress high command as it is the supreme authority to do so. He did not refrain from commenting on the appointment of Udaybhan here, a party leader belonging to the Hooda faction, further he said Kuldeep would have been a better state president if he was given an opportunity. Since the party high command does exist as the final authority to come up with decisions pertaining to the organizational appointments, what he thinks is that Kuldeep should be given important assignments in a bid to take the benefit of his experience and services which is the need of the hour. Apart from this, Surjewala also indirectly attacked Hooda without uttering his name as he said that the former state president, Kumari Seleja, who was not in terms with Hooda (as evident from the past) also had played a crucial role as a state president.

Thus, it is clearly evident from the ongoing scenario that all is not well in the Congress as the leaders namely Randeep Surjewala, Kuldeep Bishnoi, Kumara Seleja and Bhupender Singh Hooda are at loggerheads over the issue of political existence along with dominance in the party as well as in the state politics.

In wake of the new political churn going on in the Haryana Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is keeping a close eye on every movement. Political experts believe that in case the party high command fails to satisfy Kuldeep or give him any important post in the organisational setup, he is likely to come up with some tough decisions.

It is believed that in case Congress denies him to give any important post or responsibility, he might join the AAP, an entrant in state politics to some extent as no party candidates succeeded in becoming the legislator in Haryana.

Thus, Bishnoi’s non-inclusion in the revamped HPCC led to widening the rift in the Haryana Congress which is likely to harm the party.
