Apple CEO Tim Cook announced plans to open four additional Apple Stores in India, building on the company’s record-breaking Q3 revenue in the region. Currently, India has two official Apple Stores—one in Mumbai’s BKC and the other in DLF Saket, New Delhi. Cook shared his excitement about Apple’s continued expansion in India, following the success of the two stores launched earlier this year.
India’s strong demand for premium devices contributed significantly to Apple’s highest-ever revenue in the country, with iPhone sales setting records globally, especially in emerging markets like India. This growth helped Apple reach new heights not only in India but also across key markets in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Cook’s announcement reflects Apple’s commitment to India’s growing tech landscape, where it currently holds a 22% market share by value, trailing only Samsung. Speculations suggest the new stores could be located in Bengaluru, Pune, and possibly additional stores in Delhi and Mumbai.
The recent iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 launches, timed to align with the festive season, further bolstered Apple’s market presence in India. With global revenue reaching $94.9 billion for the September quarter—a 6% increase year-over-year—Apple’s future growth will be supported by gradual integration of new AI features across its product lines.
