Salman Khan is currently facing significant threats to his safety, including a recent shooting incident outside his residence. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has made demands for Salman to visit a temple of the Bishnoi community to apologize for the alleged killing of a blackbuck, a crime for which he was previously convicted.
Renowned Bhajan singer Anup Jalota commented on the situation, suggesting that the debate over whether Salman actually killed the blackbuck should be set aside. Jalota stressed the importance of Salman apologizing at the Bishnoi temple, arguing that this matter transcends personal pride or ego.
Salim Khan’s Rebuttal
Contrarily, Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, asserted that his son should not apologize, as he maintains that Salman has not harmed any animal. In his remarks to ABP News, Salim emphasized that an apology would imply an admission of guilt, which he believes is unfounded. He reiterated that since Salman has not committed any offense, there is no basis for an apology.
Somy Ali, who dated Salman in the 90s, also weighed in on the issue during an interview with India Today. She questioned the rationale behind expecting Salman to apologize for something he was unaware of, calling it unreasonable. Ali underscored the importance of peace, stating, “I just don’t want anyone murdered, in Bollywood or Hollywood. Violence is never the answer.”
On the professional front, Salman Khan is set to appear in the action film Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on Eid 2025.
