Haryana’s Home and Health Minister, Anil Vij, directed police officers to establish separate Special Investigation Teams (SITs) to investigate cases of murder and suicide. Additionally, he instructed the Inspector General (IG) of the Hisar Range to form another SIT to address illegal encroachment and house vandalism in Hisar.

Vij issued these directives while addressing public grievances at his residence in Ambala Cantonment on Tuesday.

During the session, siblings from Chandigarh reported to Home Minister Vij that their father had committed suicide on a railway line some time ago, and a case had been registered at the GRP Chandigarh station. They later received a suicide note indicating that their father had taken his own life under pressure from certain individuals. Despite filing complaints with the GRP long ago, they alleged that no suspects had been arrested. Consequently, the Home Minister instructed the IG, GRP to form an SIT to investigate the case.

Similarly, a complainant from Panipat informed Home Minister Vij of the lack of progress in his son’s murder case. He claimed that his son had been electrocuted while sleeping, and attempts were made to falsely implicate someone else as part of a conspiracy. Despite filing complaints with the police, no suspects had been apprehended. Home Minister Vij directed the formation of an SIT to investigate the matter.

Furthermore, Vij instructed the IG of Hisar to establish an SIT to investigate a complaint regarding encroachment and house demolitions filed by a resident of Hisar.
Other grievances included a complaint from a Hisar resident accusing a woman of blackmail and property threats, a married woman from Yamunanagar alleging harassment by her in-laws, and a family from Nuh expressing dissatisfaction with the handling of their child’s murder case. In response, Home Minister Vij directed the SP of Nuh to take decisive action in the matter.
