Taking a dig at Andhra Pradesh’s ruling party YSRCP, TDP Rajya Sabha MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar said that Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and the YCP MPs are maintaining the utmost secrecy on the CM’s Delhi tour and his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Two back-to-back visits to New Delhi by Andhra Pradesh CM within 15 days have led to the birth of several rumours.

Ravindra Kumar said that the Chief Minister was obviously pursuing a personal agenda during his Delhi tours and his prime purpose is always to save himself from his “illegal assets” cases before the CBI. This is why the CM and his party MPs are keeping details of his visits to the national capital a big secret, he added.

In a statement here, the TDP MP deplored that Jagan Mohan Reddy has forgotten about the needs and rights of Andhra Pradesh and the CM is lobbying to safeguard his interests and those of his party. One and a half years were over since the YCP came to power but the ruling party did not hold a single protest for getting the Special Category Status for AP.”

Kumar dared the Chief Minister to reveal what issues he had taken up with the Prime Minister during their 40-minute long meeting. The YCP Ministers were there only to make cheap statements against the Opposition in their eagerness to please the Chief Minister.

The TDP MP asserted that the YCP played a big drama by trying to present it as a suicide after eliminating former MP YS Vivekananda Reddy in Pulivendula. The YCP was covering up its misdeeds and failures by launching a cheap attack on Opposition Leader Chandrababu Naidu.

TDP Loksabha Member K Rammohan Naidu demanded Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy to explain to the people about his visit to Delhi and its purpose.

Rammohan Naidu said that the CM is not telling anything to the people about his Delhi visit which is giving rise to doubts and suspicions. In his election affidavit alone, Jagan Reddy stated that he was accused in 32 cases while 11 of them were investigated by the CBI.

Addressing a press conference, the TDP MP said the AP voters gave him 22 Lok Sabha MPs, 6 Rajya Sabha MPs and 151 MLAs to fight for their common interests. Whereas, Jagan Reddy was mortgaging the overall interests of the State in Delhi streets. He did not have the minimum courtesy to hold a press conference to tell AP people what he achieved out of his Delhi visit.
