Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader, chaired a meeting on Thursday with party leaders in the state’s capital ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections.

The meeting was attended by the Union Minister, Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and other important party officials. Amit Shah returned to his home state in an effort to win the upcoming state elections after previously being in Himachal Pradesh, another state where elections will be held this year.

Shah inaugurated the “Gujarat Gaurav Yatra” in Ahmedabad on October 13, during the campaigning of the BJP ahead of the upcoming Gujarat Assembly Polls.

A day prior to the inauguration of the “Gujarat Gaurav Yatra,”  JP Nadda flagged off the yatra in Mehsana. The event was attended by CM Bhupendra Patel and other BJP leaders.

While addressing the rally during the event, Nadda said, “BJP is a pro-active, responsible, and responsive government.” He said the BJP government understands the plight of the people. What did Congress do for years? pitted brothers against each other, areas against each other, and did not supply water where it was needed. Jo vikas ki yatra chalani thi usko atkaya, bhatkaya, latkaya. “Now they themselves are stuck.”

He further added, “Gaurav yatra is not just for Gujarat alone; it is a yatra to establish the pride of entire India.” It’s a matter of fortune that Gujarat is the “Gangotri” of “Gaurav Yatra” to re-establish the nation on the global map, to make it self-reliant, developed.”

The BJP is fully prepared for the upcoming elections. Earlier on October 12, PM Modi addressed a public gathering at Jamkandorna in Rajkot district.

PM Modi tweeted, “Being in Jamkandorana is always special.”

Multiple projects worth Rs 8,000 crore were also launched by the Prime Minister at Amod, Bharuch. The foundation stone of the Bulk Drug Park has been laid by the PM at Jambusar, the deep sea pipeline project at Dahej, Phase 1 of Ankleshwar Airport, and the development of multilevel industrial sheds at Ankleshwar and Panoli.

The party has won six consecutive assembly elections in Gujarat. The decision on the candidates is still pending with Congress.

This year, the Aam Aadmi Party is also fighting the elections, led by Arvind Kejriwal. The term of the Gujara Assembly will end on February 18, 2023.
