Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, claimed on Friday that the country’s deep-seated commitment to democracy is its greatest achievement in the last 75 years. The Union Minister spoke at the 118th annual meeting of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in this city’s Vigyan Bhawan. He also congratulated India on its G20 presidency and the accomplishment of ISRO’s Chandrayaan moon mission.
“G20, the success of Chandrayaan-3, Mission Aditya L-1 and the passing of the Women’s Reservation Bill, all these events have filled the country with new energy… The country has completed the journey of 75 years and in the past 75 years, we have made several achievements in every sector… We have proved ourselves at the international forum,” Shah said.
The union minister continued, “We want a country that is ahead in all sectors in the 100th year of our Independence.” Shah additionally commended the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) team for selecting the summit’s theme, “Rising India: Yahi Samay Hai, Sahi Samay Hai.” According to Shah, the “Make in India” initiative was once made fun of but is now a desirable location for manufacturing. “The Make in India program was once made fun of, but today we are the production industry’s ideal location. India will be the top international student destination in the following ten years, according to Shah.
