Ahead of his visit to Telangana, Home Minister Amit Shah affirms the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) dedication to the all-encompassing development of the state. Shah, scheduled to address rallies in Gadwal, Nalgonda, and Warangal East, declares his intent to unveil the BJP’s Sankalp Patra, outlining Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadmap for Telangana.

Shah emphasises the BJP government’s commitment to Telangana’s holistic progress. The visit includes the release of the BJP’s election manifesto in Hyderabad. Union ministers are expected to join the campaign in the run-up to the November 30 polls.

In addition to campaign activities, Shah plans to meet with leaders of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) in Hyderabad. The MRPS, advocating for internal reservations within the Scheduled Caste category, has been actively engaging with political leaders. Prime Minister Modi attended a gathering organized by the MRPS on November 11.

BJP MP Prakash Javdekar accused the governing Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) of property fraud via the Dharani site, citing the disappearance of land documents. Javdekar accuses the TRS of being a “Bhoomi donga” (land thief), claiming that thousands of farmers lost their land without formal certification.

Assembly elections in Telangana are set for November 30, with the results, along with those of four other states, to be announced on December 3. In the 2018 Assembly elections, the TRS secured a significant victory with 88 out of 119 seats, holding 47.4% of the total vote share. The Congress trailed with just 19 seats.
