On Saturday, legislators of the ruling coalition in Jharkhand were relocated to a guest house in the neighbouring capital, Ranchi’s Khunti district. Hemant Soren, the chief minister and leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), reportedly led the MLAs in two strongly guarded buses.

The change occurred following a lengthy third round of negotiations between United Progressive Alliance (UPA) lawmakers and the chief minister of Ranchi to devise a plan of action for the new situation.

The Congress and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), in addition to the JMM, make up the ruling alliance.

Rajesh Thakur, the state Congress president, previously indicated that his party’s MLAs had been instructed to bring their bags to the meeting of the ruling alliance.

When asked about the most recent political developments in the eastern state, the Jharkhand Congress president responded, “We’ll let you know if MLAs are requested to transfer anywhere.”

On Saturday, at 8.30 p.m., the Jharkhand Congress Legislative Party will meet. Avinash Pande, state coordinator for the party, will preside over the gathering.
