In the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Altaf Bukhari, the chief of the Jammu Kashmir Apni Party, convened a crucial working committee/core group meeting at his residence. The meeting aimed to streamline preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections and strategize for political success amidst the evolving landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.

Key leaders from across the Jammu and Kashmir province, including , Gulam Hassan Mir, Aijaz Kjan, Zaffar Manhas, Javed Mustafa Mir, Manjeet Singh, Choudhary Zulfiqar Ali, and Raja Manzoor Khan, among others, participated in the meeting. Additionally, some members joined virtually to contribute to the discussions. According to sources within the party, the gathering followed the significant turnout witnessed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Jammu, prompting Altaf Bukhari to convene the core team to assess the party’s cadres and outline strategies for the forthcoming parliamentary elections. Sources further disclosed that the party is contemplating fielding two to three candidates from each of the five constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, including former ministers and legislators. Leaders present at the meeting emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization, urging every party member to engage actively in constituency-level activities. Altaf Bukhari underscored the need for meticulous planning and directed party leaders to gear up for the electoral battle ahead.
