Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari, President of Apni Party, reiterated the party’s commitment to the restoration of Statehood in Jammu and Kashmir during a joining program where Naib Sarpanch Ashwani Kumar of Seora in Bishnah, District Jammu, along with numerous supporters, joined the party.

Speaking at the event organized by State President ST Wing, Saleem Alam, Altaf Bukhari emphasized the importance of regaining J&K’s Statehood. He expressed the party’s dedication to this cause, labeling it a core agenda for Apni Party’s ongoing mission.
Altaf Bukhari welcomed the new members into the party fold, expressing confidence that their addition would bolster the party’s strength. He commended the tireless efforts of the Party leadership in Jammu for their work.

Addressing the gathering, Bukhari underscored the public’s desire for the restoration of Statehood and reaffirmed Apni Party’s commitment to continue advocating for the return of Jammu and Kashmir’s lost glory.

“Our core agenda is to get the Statehood restored. When no one was ready to raise the voice of the people, it was the Apni Party which came to the forefront and highlighted the concerns of the people of Jammu as well as Kashmir in Delhi,” he remarked, questioning the silence of traditional political parties.

Bukhari criticized traditional political parties for creating regional divisions, advocating self-rule and autonomy for votes, while accusing the BJP of leveraging religious politics to sow discord among different segments of the population.

“We believe in the unity of all sections of society and equitable development. We do not play with the emotions of the people for vote bank. Instead, we tell the truth to the people,” he emphasized.

Blaming the BJP for downgrading Jammu and Kashmir into a Union Territory, Bukhari insisted on the historic state’s prompt restoration.

He highlighted Apni Party’s commitment to politics centered on development and equal rights for all in J&K, addressing concerns such as unemployment, lack of elected governance, and bureaucratic unaccountability.

“Elected Govt is answerable to the people, and they work as per the aspiration of the people, whereas the officials have no such accountability that has angered the people,” Bukhari remarked.

Various party leaders, including Provincial President Jammu, S. Manjit Singh, also addressed the event, shedding light on public issues and developmental concerns stemming from the officials’ insensitive approach.

The joining program witnessed the presence of key Apni Party officials, including General Secretary, Vijay Bakaya, General Secretary, Syed Asgar Ali, and others.
