In a heartfelt response, renowned actor Alia Bhatt has condemned the recent terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the tragic deaths of at least nine individuals. Expressing her sorrow on Instagram, she wrote, “This is heartbreaking. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. Violence against the innocent shakes the very core of our humanity.”

Alia Bhatt’s reaction follows earlier comments from global icon Priyanka Chopra, who also denounced the attack. Priyanka shared her grief and confusion over the increasing global violence, stating, “Devastated. This heinous attack on innocent pilgrims is horrific. Why civilians and children?! It’s so hard to comprehend the hatred we’re witnessing around the world.” Other Bollywood celebrities, including Varun Dhawan, Mohit Raina, Parineeti Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Riteish Deshmukh, and Anupam Kher, have also expressed their grief and solidarity with the victims and their families.

This tragic incident occurred on Sunday evening when a bus carrying pilgrims from the Shiv Khori shrine to Katra was attacked by terrorists in the Pouni area of Reasi district, bordering Rajouri district. The bus subsequently plunged into a gorge, resulting in the deaths and injuries of many on board.

Authorities have identified the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba as the primary suspect behind the attack.
