In connection with the alleged urination incident onboard an Air India flight between New York and Delhi the statement of three crew members has been recorded on Saturday by Delhi Police.
A total of nine crew members of Air India have been summoned by a senior police officer who indulged in flight when that incident took place.
“We have summoned them to record the statement and three crew members have recorded their statement. The remaining six crew members that include pilots will record their statements soon,” the senior police officer said.
“We have also approached the victim to record their statement. The family members informed us that she is unwell and will reach out to the police as she gets well,” a senior police officer said.
Earlier on 26 November the incident took place on an Air India flight from John F Kennedy international airport in New York to Delhi the flight was on its way.
Meanwhile, on Friday Shankar Mishra was arrested by the Delhi Police from Bengaluru.
Moreover, Chief Executive Officer Campbell Wilson on Saturday issued an apology in connection with a man who allegedly peed at an elderly woman traveling in business class on an Air India flight on 26 November 2022.
CEO Wilson in the letter to Air India employees stated that necessary actions against those people who will not follow the flight rules will be taken.
“This week has, ‘regrettably’, been dominated by media headlines of which you are no doubt familiar. The repulsion felt by the affected passenger is totally understandable and we share her distress,” Campbell said.
US-based financial service company Wells Fargo where Shankar Mishra used to work they have terminated him.
“Wells Fargo holds employees to the highest standards of professional and personal behaviors and we find these allegations deeply disturbing. This individual has been terminated from Wells Fargo. We are cooperating with law enforcement and ask that any additional inquiries be directed to them,” the company stated.
However, on 4 January against the accused FIR was registered by the woman co-passenger to Air India.
