On Friday, an Air India flight carrying 175 passengers experienced a mid-air scare reportedly due to a suspected fire in the air conditioning unit. The situation prompted a full emergency response at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Despite the tense moments, Flight 807 from Delhi to Bangalore managed to land safely at 6:38 pm, according to the Hindustan Times. Alternative travel arrangements have been arranged for the affected passengers to continue their journey to Bengaluru.

The flight, operated by an A321 aircraft, was closely monitored by the flight data tracking website flightradar24. Officials from the Delhi Fire Services confirmed the deployment of three fire tenders in response to the reported fire. A spokesperson for Air India clarified that the flight returned to Delhi after a fire warning from its auxiliary power unit. Following established safety procedures, the aircraft landed without incident, and all passengers and crew disembarked safely.

Air India emphasized its commitment to passenger safety and promptly organized alternative travel plans for the affected passengers. Ensuring the passengers’ well-being remained a top priority for the airline, with ground staff facilitating swift arrangements for their onward journey.

In a separate incident, a Delhi-bound Air India flight encountered a mishap during taxiing at Pune airport, resulting in its cancellation. Approximately 200 passengers were affected by the incident, enduring a six-hour delay at the airport. Air India promptly refunded their fares and offered complimentary rescheduling. Passengers with international connections were accommodated on alternate flights operated by other carriers. An investigation into the incident has been launched by the airline to determine the cause and prevent future occurrences.
