Air India has decided to cancel its flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 14 due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. Approximately 14 airline staff members, primarily cabin and cockpit crew, have returned from Tel Aviv on an Ethiopian flight. The airline made this decision to ensure the safety of passengers and crew members. They also assured passengers with confirmed bookings during this period that they would provide necessary support.
Air India normally operates five weekly flights from the national capital to Tel Aviv on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. This cancellation comes after the airline also canceled its flights on Saturday following the attack on Israel by Hamas militants. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed solidarity with Israel, condemning the attacks by Hamas as acts of terrorism, while Israel’s leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated that the country is at war.
