The AIADMK celebrated the 52nd foundation day at the party headquarters on Tuesday. Speaking on this occasion, AIADMK general secretary Eddapadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) said that the party will form a winning alliance and win all 40 seats (including Puducherry) in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

Reports stated that EPS told the party cadres that the DMK had failed to execute their poll promises and were going against the people of the state. He added that people wanted a change and was sure of AIADMK coming back to power in 2026. “People are disillusioned with the DMK and the AIADMK will return to office again in 2026,” EPS apparently told the party functionaries.

EPS reportedly told party functionaries to inform people at the ground level that the AIADMK would not be forming an alliance with the BJP. He stressed that functionaries must work together to ensure that the party wins all 40 seats. He laid out a clear plan as to what the party cadres need to do in the coming months in the run-up to the elections.

Meanwhile, AIADMK’s S.P. Velumani spoke to reporters in Coimbatore on October 17 and said that the DMK’s IT wing was trying to create uncertainties in the AIADMK by spreading conspiracies. He said, “Even if the DMK attempts any trick, not just me, but none of us can be separated from AIADMK. We have gathered under the leadership of Edappadi K Palaniswami to forge a strong alliance and emerge successful in all the 40 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.”

Veluamani reiterated what EPS had said about there being no alliance with the BJP. He added that the people of Tamil Nadu were keen to make EPS the CM once again.
