Ahead of 15 August, various terrorist outfits in the Valley are using cyber platforms on a large scale to vent their anger and post instigating messages for radicalisation and spread of new methodology for executing terror attacks. The ISI and Pakistan Army have been continually trying to poison the minds of Kashmiris in order to avenge the wiping out of terrorists in the Valley by Indian security forces.

Some channels such as Hoop Channel claimed that TRF had declared “Operation Clean-Up” to eliminate Informers/ Mukhbirs/ Stooges/ Collaborators from the Valley, while Telegram channels like “Kashmir Intifada”, “Ahaan”, “Al-Tijara”, “News, Conflict”, “Militancy”, “OSINT-Group”, “Black Sand”, “Al-Muhajir”, “AlHaqeeqah”, “Al Hurr Media”, “Northern Chronicle” and “Nasr News English” shared provocative posters, videos, statements of terrorist commanders to incite locals to carry out attacks in the name of religion. They were seen glorifying slain terrorists and issuing threats to outsiders who intend to settle in Kashmir.

A statement from commander of Hizbul Mujahideen was shared by the Telegram channel “Black Sand” in which he was seen asking terror organisations to attack security forces in Kashmir besides warning against the change in the demography. Pro-IS telegram channel “Al Tijara” shared a poster explaining the “Knife attacks” and advised attacks on lone victims for prolonged terror campaigns. Attacks on small groups for shock and impact were incited while the militants were cautioned from attacking large groups.

Kashmiris were asked to remain alert and united by Twitter handles ‘@JihadoScope’, ‘@kashmirosint’ and ‘@KReadingRoom’ while they advised them to disassociate themselves from Indian security forces. These Twitter handles claimed their presence on social media platforms like Telegram, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TamTam, Hoop, WhatsApp and Rocket Chat and also informed that Global Islamic Media Front (GIMF) had made an agreement with Al Hurr Media (AGH Media Arm) and its affiliate “Al-Sindh” to be the exclusive publisher of their releases in order to strengthen the edifice of Jihadi media in the Indian sub-continent.

Intelligence agencies are monitoring the exploits of Pakistan-backed terrorists as Pakistan continues to conspire against India. Particularly on the occasion of 15 August, various Pakistani terror outfits are planning to execute a big attack in the Valley. The Indian security agencies are very alert to thwart any such action from Pakistan’s end.
