In a show of strength by the incumbent ally, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has catapulted its election campaign trailer by a series of mass rallies organised at various target constituencies across the states.

Leading the show, AGP president and state Agriculture Minister Atul Bora opined that with the elections barely a month away, it is quintessentially important for the various wings of the party to work on a war footing.

Bora further added that with progressive regionalism as its prime aphorism, and nationalistic integration as its broader goal, the party will continue its stride towards more committed wellbeing of the State and the indigenous populace.

Moreover, on being asked about its coalition with the BJP, Bora hinted towards a more comprehensive discussion across the table with BJP.

Recalling the history and edifice of the regional party, Bora also opined that the AGP is committed to the cause of implementation of Clause 6 of the Assam Accord, instrumental towards achieving the rights of the indigenous people of Assam.
