Agastya Nanda, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan’s grandson, is set to make his cinematic debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. After a long wait, the film will finally be available for viewing on Netflix on December 7th. Agastya plays the key character of Archie Andrews in the film, and when questioned recently if he was a “Casanova like Archie,” Agastya laughed it off.
When asked who his major role model in life was, Agastya mentioned his late grandma Ritu Nanda. “My grandma, Ritu Nanda, is my role model.” She is no longer with us, but she is someone I have always admired. She just had a pleasant aura about her. You’d feel like you could do anything if you were around her. “And I wish I could give that positivity and love to the people around me,” he continued. Ritu Nanda died in the year 2020.
Agastya, unlike his contemporaries, is not on Instagram, but he admits to having a hidden Instagram account to check the reels. He admitted that he wasn’t very good with Instagram, but “I have my sister, who is my greatest PR.” She posts all I need, even my mother.” Navya Naveli Nanda, Agasyta’s sister, is a businesswoman who recently co-hosted a podcast called What the Hell Navya with her mother and grandmother, Jaya Bachchan.
