A jewellery label of Indian origin with footprints in the global luxury markets of New York, Los Angeles and London, Aditee Joaillerie presents jewellery set in diamonds and precious stones. Its uniqueness emerging both in the eclectic choice of stones and the unique style of setting and stringing these stones.

Crafted for the woman who exudes oomph and confidence, jewels by Aditee Joaillerie capture her iridescent, sparkling persona with designs that go beyond occasion-wear to make her look glorious each day. A white shirt to black dress sensibility, these pieces are individualistic and fit into the mould of fun, semiformal and destination wedding jewellery.

A brand that hitherto showcased through stylishly done pop ups, exhibits and bespoke engagements, it is now all set to present its fairy tale through a carefully constructed luxury retail foray.

Brought alive by Aditee Modi, a self-taught jewellery designer, the label is a culmination of a journey that started with her wanting to create something different for her own self. A true creative maverick, she began by designing clothes, then redecorating the interiors of her home and that of her friends, which led to working with flowers, an interest that grew from simple arrangements at home to doing entire weddings! But what endeared her most was experimenting with colours in various shapes and forms best personified by stones.

Designs just floated into existence when the finest peridots, emeralds, aquamarines and spinels, were placed before her. Her defining moment was when she was asked to create a collection for a show. Every piece she designed was bought in short of 24 hours and the appreciation was overwhelming. It was when she moved home to New York that she slowly turned this interest into a business and sold through small, intimate yet hugely successful shows, thus the road to Aditee Joailleirie took shape into this beautiful brand.

“The curved lines of an arch at a cathedral in Seville, the formation of a tree in the Savannas, the sheer vibrance of a rose in the local flower marker, or simply the irresistible lure of a candy store… jewels for me are an expression of colour and the art of jewellery making an expression of the world as I see it.”

Given the array of her interests, Aditee seeks inspiration from the most unpredictable of quarters, travel and her travelogues being the strongest in this sense. Architectural forms, clean, geometric lines, art deco influences and vintage settings being the strongest forms of expression. Besides the host of very interesting stringing techniques that allow the most precious of pendants to exude a sense of informality.

Aditee’s collection is voracious in its design pursuit. She goes for clean lines and minimal drama to create what she calls stylishly understated jewellery. In her mind she imagines her patron to be that accomplished woman who will wear a huge emerald to work with her white shirt and a quiet dual string of understated pearls with solitaires for a wedding!

No matter how rare or precious, her jewellery allows you to flow from a smart formal look surreptitiously into a party moment. Each piece is unique, one of a kind, never to be made again. Perfection personified.

“I am passionate about getting it right. Perfect could be the centre of a necklace, or a mismatched pair of earrings. As long as the end result comes out well and speaks with you and you can hear it… that for me is perfection and passion,” Aditee adds.
