Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, IPS, conducted a comprehensive meeting with intelligence agencies, Army/BSF/CRPF/Armed/District Police, and Civil Administration at the Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu. The meeting aimed to strategize and discuss the requisite police and security arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations in 2024.

Collaborative Security Framework: ADGP Jammu emphasized the paramount importance of collaboration among various law enforcement agencies, intelligence units, and stakeholders. The focus was on creating a robust security framework with particular attention to crowd management, traffic control, and the deployment of advanced surveillance technologies to enhance situational awareness.

Briefing for Republic Day Duties: ADGP Jain stressed the need for thorough briefings to be provided to officers and officials deployed for Republic Day duties. Ensuring that all personnel are well-informed and prepared is crucial for the success of the security operations.
Coordinated Efforts at Ground Level: Emphasizing effective and coordinated efforts at the grassroots level, ADGP Jammu advised all participants to work collaboratively for the smooth conduct of national events. He specifically directed the implementation of adequate security measures in and around the venue, M.A. Stadium.

Preventive Intelligence Measures: ADGP Anand Jain directed intelligence agencies, including SSP Jammu, to proactively utilize available resources to gather intelligence related to Republic Day-2024. This preemptive approach is aimed at thwarting any attempts by anti-national and anti-social elements to disrupt the celebrations.

Supervisory Alertness: Supervisory officers were instructed to remain vigilant within their respective jurisdictional areas to ensure a proactive response to any potential threats or security concerns.

Traffic Management and Public Convenience: ADGP Jammu stressed the need for proper traffic and parking arrangements. He directed SSP Jammu/SSP Traffic City, Jammu, to identify and allocate adequate parking slots in advance. The goal is to ensure orderly parking and smooth traffic flow, minimizing inconvenience to the general public attending the Republic Day function at M.A. Stadium.

Coordination Among Agencies: ADGP Jain urged for seamless coordination among intelligence agencies, Army, PMF, Traffic, and Security wings within their respective jurisdictions. This collaborative effort is essential to foil any nefarious designs of anti-national elements and to ensure the incident-free conduct of the national event.
