In a sensational move, Telangana’s former Tahsildhar E.B. Nagaraju (47) who was arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for accepting a bribe of Rs 1.10 crore a few months ago, was found hanging from a window grill in his barrack in Chanchalguda central prison, Hyderabad on Wednesday.

It is said that he had earned crores of rupees by accepting bribes. Nagaraju, along with four others, were arrested and were in remand in the prison. The police are investigating the case while the body has been shifted to the Osmania General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Further details are awaited. The ACB was scanning the bank accounts and financial transactions of Nagaraju. Two real estate agents and a village revenue assistant were also arrested by ACB at that time. An ACB court had denied bail to Nagaraju earlier in August. The case stirred a row and caught a lot of attention in the state as the transaction was caught on camera.
