Haryana Assembly Speaker, Gian Chand Gupta during a New Year celebration for Panchkula residents, particularly in Abhaypur village, made a significant announcement. He revealed plans to commence the construction of a new sewerage pipeline in Abhaypur, addressing concerns of blockages and diseases caused by contaminated water.
Additionally, measures will be taken to ensure a continuous supply of drinking water to households. As a gesture of goodwill, he pledged a donation of Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand from his voluntary fund to build a shelter at Gurdwara Sahib in Abhaypur.
The speaker, attending as the chief guest at the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra Jan Samvad program held at Government Primary School in Abhaypur Sector 19, was joined by Municipal Corporation Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal and Additional Deputy Commissioner Varsha Khaganwal.
Gupta inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon and viewed a documentary on the Central and State Government schemes through an LED van. He also released the Haryana Government’s 2024 calendar. Addressing the gathering, Gupta emphasized the outreach efforts of the chariot initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ensuring that public welfare schemes reach every home.
Development projects exceeding Rs 7.5 crore have been completed in Abhaypur, with commitments to address sewerage and drinking water pipelines, enhance security with CCTV installation, raise walls in Ashiana and Abhaypur Market, construct a community center, and install entry gates at all Abhaypur entrances.
Gupta assured a sympathetic consideration of these demands and highlighted the resolution of errors in family identity cards in Ashiana Phase-1 Panchkula for working-class individuals.
The Speaker stressed that the government schemes’ benefits should be promptly delivered to eligible beneficiaries through the Bharat Sankalp Yatra Jan Samvad, eliminating the need for office visits.
During his inspection of department stalls at the Government Primary School, Shri Gupta directed the immediate provision of scheme benefits to beneficiaries on-site after verifying necessary documents, streamlining the process for their convenience.
