After concluding victory in Punjab and ahead of the Haryana Assembly polls, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal held a rally at Kurukshetra, Haryana, on Sunday where he urged the people to vote for AAP to improvise government education and hospitals in the state.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that his government transformed the quality of government schools and hospitals in Delhi. He has stated that his party wants to do the same in Haryana.

Speaking about education in the national capital, Kejriwal claimed that around four lakh students left private schools to get themselves enrolled in the government schools of Delhi. Additionally, he also stated that around 400 Delhi government students had passed competitive tests for engineering courses and were accepted into prestigious institutes.

Ahead of the Haryana civic polls, the AAP chief also slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Haryana government citing cases of alleged question paper leaking for government job recruitment tests. Targeting Khattar’s government over unemployment in Haryana, he questioned the crowd about how many jobs the BJP government had created in the state. The Delhi CM claimed that AAP had generated 12 lakh employment in the last seven years and plans to create another 20 lakh jobs in the next five years in Delhi. He spoke about eliminating corruption in Delhi and Punjab, citing the dismissal of Punjab Cabinet Minister Vijay Singla for reportedly engaging in unethical practices.

Former Congress Haryana chief Ashok Tanwar recently joined the AAP. Nirmal Singh, a former Haryana Congress leader, and his daughter Chitra also joined AAP in the presence of Kejriwal. The Haryana Congress is also making efforts to raise its profile in the state. The party conducted a rally in Fatehabad with the ‘Vipaksh Aapke Samakh’ campaign. Party stalwart Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced that we will start with old-age pension of Rs 6,000 per month and every senior citizen will get Rs 200 per day. He also announced that the Congress would make MSP mandatory for farmers and their land will not be auctioned if they default on loans, when the party is elected to power.

He also announced several health projects worth more than Rs 13.05 crore for Sirsa district. He also announced that 77 roads will be constructed at Rs 88 crore.
