With a few days left in Adampur bypolls, all political parties are leaving no stone unturned to win the battle. Amid this, the issue of Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal pending for decades is in the center of discussions as the BJP, the Congress and the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) continue to target the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stating that the party should clear its stand on SYL issue and Haryana’s demand of water share in SYL. Earlier, the AAP was in a bit of a fix a few months ago after its Haryana in-charge Sushil Gupta said that the party will ensure SYL’s construction if it comes to power. Bhagwant Mann has made his stance clear saying that Punjab doesn’t have enough water to share and besides, the groundwater is also depleting,
