Delhi Minister Kailash Gahlot recently stirred political discourse by declaring himself the “Hanuman” of Arvind Kejriwal, vowing to complete all pending work and ensure Kejriwal’s return as Chief Minister. Gahlot drew a parallel between his role and Hindu epic characters, likening Kejriwal to Lord Ram. He defended this analogy, responding to criticism by likening the situation to Bharat stepping in for Ram during his exile, accusing BJP of disrespecting Indian traditions.

He further says, “The scheme to give Rs 1,000 every month to women above 18 years of age will be implemented in Delhi before the Assembly elections and budget for it has already been allocated…”

Gahlot also emphasized that the AAP government will implement a scheme providing Rs 1,000 per month to all women aged 18 and above in Delhi. This initiative is part of their campaign strategy for the upcoming Assembly elections, with budget allocations already secured. His commitment to this policy reflects AAP’s focus on welfare programs aimed at women’s empowerment ahead of the 2025 elections.

The AAP’s broader strategy appears to rest on aligning itself with cultural symbols and delivering populist measures to ensure electoral success, a trend seen in Gahlot’s statements and Atishi’s invocation of Hanuman’s blessings.
