A big statement has come out from Punjab Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on the escape of one of the accused in Moosewala murder case, Deepak Tinu. Dhaliwal stated that such small incidents keep happening in Punjab.
By saying this, Dhaliwal then took a U-turn and said that he meant to say that such incidents keep happening in Punjab but they will not allow the law and order situation to deteriorate in Punjab and an investigation will be conducted.
On this particular issue, politicians from Congress and BJP are targeting Aam Aadmi Party.
Congress’s Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa tweeted and said, “Gangster Deepak Tinu, a key suspect who was hauled in for interrogation in the case of Sidhu Moosewala, managed to escape from Mansa Police’s custody in a cinematic manner while the CM of Punjab is busy performing ‘Garba’ in Gujarat. Bajwa stated further that while a key Minister of AAP stated that such small incidents tend to happen during routine procedures, his statement gave me a pause and I regret to say that such insensitive and irresponsible leaders are holding key porfolio in cabinet. This is height of Punjab Police and Administration’s carelessness and negligence. Such errors and security breaches are inexcusable. Punjab’s law and order situation are upon the winds. If they are incapable of handling hardcore detained criminals then God save the common man,” said Bajwa.
BJP’s senior leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated that gangster Tinu’s escape from Police custody can’t be incidental.
Gangster Deepak Kumar aka Tinu hails from Bhiwani in Haryana. Tinu’s father is a painter. More than 35 cases including murder, attempt to murder are registered against Tinu in Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and Delhi.
