Reportedly, a man attempted to kill a girl while she was returning from school. Delhi police confirmed that the man used a pistol in the crime and has been arrested.

The accused has been identified as Amanat Ali. A team from the Tigri Police Station apprehended him.

Bobby and Pawan were the two associates of Amanat who were earlier arrested. The incident occurred on August 25 at around 3.00 Pm. The 16-year-old girl was coming back from school when she was attacked.

The victim said that she had been in contact with Amanat over social media for two years. But for the past four to five months, she hadn’t spoken to him. But the suspect persisted in stalking her.

The victim , Naina Mishra, resides in Sangam Vihar, Delhi.

In her complaint, the girl said that she felt stalked by three motorcycle-riding men while she was walking home from school. The victim claimed, “When I arrived at B block, Sangam Vihar, one of the man fired at me with a pistol from behind, and all three ran from the scene thereafter.”

The girl identified one of the attackers as Amanat.
