A 23-year-old boy was killed in Mangaluru on Thursday on the outskirts. The attackers are unidentified as reported by the police.

The deceased was attacked with detrimental weapons and have been identified as Fazl. At Surathkal, Mulki, Bajpe, and Panambur, Section 144 has been implemented following the incident.

The Mangaluru Police Commissioner, N Shashi Kumar, reported, “At around 8 pm (on July 28), there was an incident where a 23-year-old boy was brutally attacked by 4-5 people near Krishnapura Katipalla road, Surathkal. The boy was immediately shifted to a hospital and was declared dead.”

Up to July 19, all wineries operating within the Commissionerate’s boundaries have been ordered to close.

In the larger interest of the law and order of every locality, the Mangaluru Commission said, “We have requested all Muslim leaders to perform their prayers at their homes.” Due justice will be done quickly and fairly.”

A murder case has been filed, and the police are looking into a complaint from a witness who was there when the deceased was attacked. Additionally, the Mangaluru Police Commissioner warned citizens against believing rumours, saying, “The motive behind the incident and the identity of the culprits is being investigated… I appeal to all the citizens to not succumb to any rumours being spread by vested-interest groups. “
