US President Donald Trump has shared plans for a three-way summit with Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky after Alaska talks with Russia’s leader on Friday

Trump told European leaders that he wants a trilateral summit including Putin and Zelensky to take place as soon as August 22, according to Axios

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed via his X account that he will meet Trump in Washington on Monday

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that a trilateral summit is expected after Monday’s Trump–Zelensky meeting, highlighting Europe’s concerns for Ukraine’s security

The Russians have not confirmed their participation in the trilateral summit. Moscow remains cautious about public commitments, despite Trump’s continued push for peace talks

According to The New York Times, Trump proposed for Ukraine to surrender the rest of Donbass to Russia, while battlefronts will be held under ceasefire with security guarantees
