Animal Fat In Tirumala Tirupati Laddoos: Know More About It
The Tirupati temple is devoted to Lord Venkateswara, a manifestation of Lord Vishnu.
Laddoos specifically offered as 'prasadam', or devotional offerings, at the temple town of Tirupati.
The Tirupati Laddoo, also called the ‘Srivari Laddoo’, has been the main offering at the temple for more than 300 years.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu claimed that animal fat was used in Tirupati laddoos during the previous government when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was the Chief Minister of the state.
The laddoos are made in the temple kitchen - known as 'potu', which is located inside the 'sampangi pradakshinam', or the space between the second and third pathways.
The Tamil Nadu-based AR Dairy Food Private Limited, a company that supplied ghee to Tirupati Lord Balaji temple, said its product samples have been duly cleared by authorities certifying its quality.
Amul issued a clarification on Friday stating that it had never supplied ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD).
The lab reports of samples certify that beef tallow and animal fat – lard, and fish oil were used in the preparation of ghee which was supplied to Tirumala and also the S value is only 19.7.
